Festivities
There is much fun and games on my friends list this morning: norwich36 is running a Smallville What If game in which you can change one thing in the Smallville universe, and mskatej is listing TV girlfriends (come and weigh in on the 'does Clark count?' controversy!).

Also, in case you missed it, mskatej posted Lex/Lana, Clark/Lex fic yesterday, and it is awesome and long and HOT and you should all go read!

And I have cards! *twirls* Thank you to vibrantharmony, bloodygoodgirl, tehjules, polarenigma and snarkist! And to talitha78 for trees! (TREES!)

Also, my eternal gratitude goes out to clari_clyde for this custom icon. *giggles* 'Tis wonderful.

Sekrit message to snarkist: I love ice-skating! It's perfect! (and cools me down just by looking at it) Also the musics made me squeeeeeeeeee madly! I have brought them to work to spread the merriment...

ETA: Today we're expecting a change--the danger period is in the next 24 hours as winds rise in front of the change. The mega fire front (120km) will likely merge with other fires at that stage. Everyone's hoping that the change will bring rain--the only real chance of extinguishing the fires. Otherwise they'll burn for days if not weeks yet.

HAHAHA you snagged THAT icon! It's a good one. :-)

I'm probably being overly optimistic about the rain, as there will also be lightening to start more fires... but I just want this to be over with so badly, and after this there is no rain forecast for several weeks.

I'm crossing my fingers for rain!

I am getting anxious about the card I sent you. What if I wrote something on there wrong? *frets*

Pssst! Jules's name is without an underscore. :-)

Hmm... It seems odd it is not here, but the mail's always crazy at this time of year. Do not fret!

Yay! I'm glad you like the ice skating! If I could bag up some of the cold weather we're having here and send it to you, I totally would.

I hope you like all the tunes! I've been listening to my Sufjan christmas mix on repeat, 'cause I'm in LOVE with it. *g*

Darling!!! *glomps you* The ice skating is my favourite card! I used to have the cutest writing paper with little skating elves on it, but I used it all up. I still miss it...

And yes, the tunes are awesome! I need a few more listens though, because evil work keeps interrupting me. But I will be putting the Christmas mixes on at home too, because we are RIDICULOUSLY festive at my house. My boy is a Christmas whore: he has festooned our house with lights and glowing penguins and tree in window and so on.

Also, did the change come through? It's been raining a lot here today. Hope some of it reached you. ♥

Yeah, the change has come, but it hasn't rained very much at all. It's much cooler here though and the smoke haze has gone. The change worsened the fire danger/damage in the shortterm, but there's now a window of opportunity for the backburning and so on to occur, so hopefully it will help longterm.

Argh, I'm sorry. I wish I could send the rain to you. :/ I feel all helpless.
