Ok, I hate Richmond Hill. I curse it. It's not that big really, but currently it's killing my cardiovascular system. I think sheer adrenalin got me up it the first couple of days. Now I'm just in pain. The climb on the way back is worst, but at least it's the only real point of exhaustion on the route home--in the morning, the stairs kill me first.
Still, overall I can't believe how great bikes are! They are so fast!! This is particularly surprising, since apparently I suppressed this knowledge--I biked for at least 4 years at uni. But I'm delighted all over again now.
Overall state: definitely more tired than usual, still eating a lot at lunch but managed to keep dinner small last night, legs not really too achy--it's more just physical weariness and the famished-ness that I have to contend with! I feel generally healthy though.
I have been slow in getting to mkitty3's 80s video challenge, due to the imperative need to save bandwidth for this week's SV ep. ;) So I'm sure you've all beaten me to these... but if you haven't, go check the following vids:
talitha78's Clark/Chloe vid Hey Mickey, and Clex vid
capnzebbie's White Wedding (this vid makes me giggle lots!! and not just when I'm drunk... although it's true that I may have spluttered wine all over my computer the first time I watched it!)
mkitty3's own Run to You vid (awww... running Clark!)
I also really enjoyed frelling_tralk's Eternal Flame vid. A childhood favourite, that song, and she gets kudos for making an enjoyable Clana vid! ;)
And voldything wins the Melodrama crown for her Clexy 'How can we be lovers' vid. Hee! I still hate Michael Bolton, but couldn't help grinning at the aptness of this vid. It's cheesy angst extraordinaire! *g*
Ok, I'm shutting up now before I rec everything in the whole damn Challenge! (and I still have more to d/l and watch *cough*)
Go get your popcorn, people! New SV on its way! *g*
