Supacat's already said everything that needs to be said about this movie as Shakespeare here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/supacat/
All I have to say can be summed up as: Michael: Eyes! Eyebrows! Hot! Shirt...open! Guh! Also, dancing! (I have no idea why but I found his waltz with Lydia one of the hottest parts of the movie: go figure)
It's such a goddam shape that he was at his hottest in such a tragic movie. And I don't mean tragic in the Greek sense. The scene where it actually rains blood and everyone keeps raving really amused me and the bathroom had excellent set design and cinematography. Ok, that's all I can think of that was good about this movie except MICHAEL. Who is my hero.
Dear god! That man is so hot. I officially watched the Keanu-Brandy scene 5 times before forcing myself to move on. I am staggered once again by Michael's commitment to putting a hundred per cent into every performance. He was sexy, cute, funny, charming and believable as a transvestite. Found myself hoping he will be cast as a transvestite again at some stage in his career!
Sorority boys: boys will be girls special
This extra feature on the tv was like the movie in miniature: Michael stealing the show once again with his capacity to channel his female side and make Adina so mesmerising. He was the only one of the three lead male actors who was able to make their female identity not obviously an act. It's just fabulous that he can retain such integrity as an actor in such a role. Also: he played basketball in character? *LOL*
Yay for Michael! He makes life so great. I sleep happily tonight...
